We would like to share some of
the correspondence we get about our kittens

Hi
Mum and Dad and Robbie and Ashley also,
I know its been a while
since I last wrote to you all, but gee have I had a big
year!!!!
I am growing really big
now, and Dad says that I am also eating him out of house
and home!!! I am now eating about 200gms of Scotch or
Eye Fillet and ½ cup of cheese each day. Madison also
fills up my biscuit bowl each more, and Mum now buys me
the Royal Canin Maine Coon Formula. I don’t really
drink much kitten milk any more but Mum empties and re
fills my water bowl 3 times a day. Madison isn’t aloud
to fill it up because she spills it everywhere, normally
when I am rubbing myself against her leg.
I got a new sister this
year. She is a Doberman named Jeddah and we love to
play to together. Sometimes my new mum yells at us to
stop and sends us to our bed, normally after we have
broken something by running around and through the
house. We try to be good but at times it is just so
much fun that we can’t help ourselves. Our brother
Tyson doesn’t like to play so much any more, he recently
turned 15 and just wants to lounge on his bed most days
and sleep.
I am getting excited
about Christmas coming and my family tells me that if I
am good Santa will come to me also!!! I hope he brings
me some new toys!! Madison says he will because he makes
them at the north pole. Mum also says that maybe I will
get another new sibling soon, as she thinks that maybe I
need someone else to play with besides a Doberman, that
is more my size.
Well I better go, I have
attached some new photo’s of me for you and Merry
Christmas!!
Love Always

Hi Robbie and Ash
Hope your are both well
We were just
wondering...........................you see prior to
August we had leaves on our Chinese Lucky plants; water
in our fountains; Feng Shui crystals placed in the
appropriate places around the house; feathers on the
dream catcher above our bed; curling ribbon still in the
balls ready for wrapping gifts; clean white paper in the
printer without teeth marks and paw prints; clean glass
in the china cabinets; CDs stored in alphabetical order;
my pillow actually belonged to me; and being able to eat
a fritz sandwich without paws grabbing at it is now a
thing of the past. (She turns quite feral with
fritz..........).
So what we are wondering
is how do you manage a Christmas Tree each year? I have
suggested to the family that drawing one on the window
with Santa Snow might be the only viable option given
how ‘busy’ one particular Maine Coon kitten keeps
herself during the day.
Buying her a novel and
exciting Christmas present will be quite the challenge

Hi Other mummy Robbie,
Well, here I am –
settling into my new home and getting the hang of
things. It took me a couple of days to get to know
everyone and work out where I fitted in but I have
fitted in….there were almost no hisses or growls when I
came home.
My brothers have been
great – Saxxon has helped me lots – I’ve never met
someone so wrapped up in food (except maybe me!).
Atticus has been good to me too –he’s pointed out lots
of the rules but Saxxon and I have played a lot and made
up our own rules.
My other brothers and
sisters seem to like me – especially the little kitten
Vixxen…..she’s so small and cute. We play a bit rough
with her sometimes and have to remember she is tiny
compared to us.
I am still a wriggle pot
when picked up but am getting better – its just that
there’s so much to see and do. Daddy Alex is reminding
me about the show pose as I have some shows coming up.
He’s still muttering
something about Atticus’ coat and how he looks like a
woolly goat and how glad he is that I have a “Tip” type
coat – whatever that means. Although I think dad and
Atticus are tied at the hip given the way they hang out
together so it can’t be too bad!! Atticus chirps and
trills a lot and I do a little…the rest of the Coonies
don’t seem to do it much – Daddy says its because
Atticus is top cat.
Thankyou for finding me
such a cool home and a nice bunch of brothers and
sisters – my new mum and dad are pretty neat too. I
miss some of the kittens, especially Bearcat, but my new
family are looking after me and I am having fun.
Gotta go – heard someone
get some tins of food out – must be dinner time……
Lots of love

Hi Other Mummy Robbie,
Time for an update……..
I am still teething
which is sucky. I tried to sneak it past daddy but
gotta give him credit, he knew something was amiss. I
have 2 sets of upper canine teeth at present (not sure
why a cat has dog teeth but dad said this is just what
they are called).
I am still a wriggle bum
but am spending lots more time snuggled up to dad. When
he sits on the lounge chair, I sit on the arm and rest
on dad. I like this. Dad calls me DT which I like – I
don’t like it when mum does though so she still calls me
D’Artagnan. I also spend time sitting on dad’s desk
with him or in a cat bed just under the edge of his
desk.
Dad said I should tell
you more about how I am getting on and what I am up to.
- I love food.
Any sort is my favourite and I often get in trouble for
standing in dad’s or trying to steal mum’s.
- I love my
brothers and sisters. My favourites are the other Coons
plus the little Ragdoll – she is sooo cute. Saxxon is
probably my bestest friend. He is such a goofy boy; he
loves everyone and they all love him.
- I am growing
longer, taller and more muscular. Dad said he will
weigh me again soon and let you know.
- I sleep in dad
and mum’s bed a lot now; I often sleep on dad or next to
his pillow.
- I love
food…..oh, I already said that didn’t I? Anyway, I love
the biscuits we get and the tins of wet food are
great….bring it on dad and mum!
Anyway, have to run, dad
is working on your website and needs the computer and he
has just put another bag of biscuits down….gotta go.
Love D’Artagnan the
Great. (Luckycoon D'Atagnan)

Hi Ash
We were just saying last night that we must update you
on Duke's progress.
Firstly I would like to praise you both for a remarkable
job in 'socialising' Duke so well, he is the most 'kick
back cat' - loves to be picked up & cuddled, patted,
kissed, played with etc etc and he is always purring. He
is praised constantly for just being handsome!
At times we think he is part 'Meercat' as when he hears
an unusual sound he pops up on his back legs with his
front paws dangling in front of him just like a Meercat,
we get the giggles every time he does it and he
sometimes lifts off his front paws just to meet with
your hand for a pat on the head.
We have polished floor boards & rugs through most of the
house so when he chases his balls with the bells inside,
he sounds like four horses galloping around & when it
comes to corners he usually loses the back end and
skates around side ways! (as I am typing he is chasing
the curser - he loves the computer). Out in our closed
in verandah he has a 2.6 metre cat gym with 7 levels,
numerous hidey holes, hammock, bed & posts, he tears up
to the top at great speed & loves to soak up what little
sun we have had on his hammock. In our family room he
has another 2 large scratching poles that he practices
his gymnastics on so we are entertained constantly.
Chris weighed him last night & he is now 3.2kg, he is
eating 60gms of steak morning & night along with his
normal diet. Just recently he has been splashing about
with his water bowl, thankfully we have 3 large heavy
ceramic bowls all full of water so he has a wonderful
time.
Well I hope you are both well, we will send more photos
of Duke & update you on his progress,
Kind regards
Duke, Trace & Chris
